Bobby Platt has picked up the much coveted BBC NI Sports Unsung Hero Award in recognition of the contribution he has made to rowing in Coleraine Inst and beyond. He received his award from Olympic oarsman Richard Archibald, one of the many boys who have started to row under his guidance at Inst.

Bobby will now travel to the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in Sheffield on December the 13th with the other regional winners. Everyone at Inst wishes Bobby the best of luck and hope he returns crowned overall winner.
