On Wednesday the 9th of September, Mr. Allen took approximately thirty year 12 pupils and a couple of Year 13 pupils to the Palace Barracks in Antrim.

After a brief introduction from the Marine display team we were divided into 6 groups and sent to the various stances. One of the activities involved climbing a 32 foot wall leading to a high ropes course in the trees before abseiling back to the ground again. After lunch there was paintballing with our group being split into two separate teams, one attacking and one defending. This was followed by a challenging assault course and then shooting targets with an air rifle.

The day culminated with the marines putting on an exciting unarmed combat demonstration and finally a weapons display.
