Pupils in year 9 and 10 had the opportunity to capture the natural and built heritage in the Binevenagh AONB through a photography competition co-ordinated by Miss Cassidy, and supported by The Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust. The standard of entries was very high, and two winning entries from both year groups were selected; Lewis William auld Smith; Year 9F, Daniel McAllister; Year 9Q, Peter Crowe; Year 10F, and Paul Campbell; Year 10R. Miss Cassidy and the winning pupils were invited to attend the Binevenagh AONB Management Plan launch event on 25th June at Coleraine Train and Bus Station. The pupils received prizes from The Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust, and their photographs were exhibited at the event. The winning photographs portray the pupils’ impressive camera skills and appreciation of their local environment, and they will feature in future Binevenagh AONB literature.
