The Winter League

This year we had a very successful winter league campaign. The team of Richard McCrudden, Phillip McAuley, Adam Brown and Chris Barber progressed through the group stages beating Dunluce, Limavady GS and St Pieus. In the quarter final we had an extremely close match against St Columbs College. In a nail biting finale we managed to win by one hole and set up a semi final against Wallace High School in the Semi Final. Unfortunately the boys were unable to repeat the heroics of the ¼ final in this round and eventually lost 3 matches to 1.

Golf Coaching Course at Royal Portrush Golf Club

Thirty four boys from Year’s 8-10 took part in a golf coaching course on Wednesday afternoons. The course was taken by Darren and Chris, the Assistant Professionals at R.P.G.C.

Within the group there were a wide range of abilities, from relative beginners to boys who had represented the school in competitions. All however gained tips from the experience and improved as a result.

At the end of the course there was a competition around the pitch and putt at Rathmore G.C. This was won by C Grossie who went round in a score of 30.
